Norwegian Cruise Line
MSC Cruises
Royal Caribbean & Azamara

Delta
Initially, all flights to Cairo were cancelled Friday January 28 but resumed Tuesday February 1 in an effort to help get people out of Egypt. While Delta is the only carrier flying directly from the US to Egypt (New York to Cairo), this flight would require an overnight in Cairo. Delta has joined with AirFrance-KLM to fly passengers from Cairo to Athens before heading back to the US. (

British Airways
British Airways is also helping to get people out of Egypt as the current political atmosphere continues to deteriorate. They have altered flight times to avoid night curfews. Many flights have been suspended or altered. (

Egypt

To our valued customers,

Thank you for your continued patronage of Sand & C Travel. I wanted to send out a quick note to all of our clients about the current situation in Egypt. As I am sure you are well aware, the situation has deteriorated quickly in this tourist destination, with the State Department now assisting US citizens in leaving the country. (See the State Department’s Website for more details.) We are fortunate that we do not currently have any clients in Egypt as this situation is unfolding. However, we have many clients booked to go to this part of the world in the upcoming months. Egypt has become a very popular destination for tours, river cruises and ocean cruises.

If you are currently booked on a trip to this part of the world or are considering a trip to the Middle East, I would recommend you sit tight and see how things play out. I can assure you that the tour operators and cruise lines are monitoring the situation very closely, and will not operate tours to the area as long as it remains dangerous. If the primary purpose of your trip is to visit Egypt, and you are scheduled to depart in the next few months, then I would recommend that you consider canceling. Your Sand & C Travel consultant can assist in working with the operator to secure any possible refunds, given the situation. If Egypt is just a component of your trip, then I would expect the operator to change the itinerary accordingly. However, it is too early for any specifics at this point. We will need to give the travel operators time to assess the situation and make the necessary changes.

Your Sand & C Travel Consultant is here to assist you through this process. For any questions, please feel free to call at any time.
